Juicy chicken thighs marinated overnight in a sweet and savory honey-soy sauce, then seared until golden and caramelized. Served over a rich, creamy gochujang sauce with the perfect balance of sweet, spicy, and savory flavors.DIRECTIONS
STEP 1 - Marinate the Chicken
Whisk together all marinade ingredients. Add chicken thighs to a zip-top bag or covered container, pour marinade over, and refrigerate for 8–24 hours.
STEP 2 - Sear the Marinated Chicken
Remove chicken from marinade, letting excess drip off. Heat 1 tbsp neutral oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook chicken for approximately 5–7 minutes per side, adjusting for thickness, until golden, caramelized, and 165°F internally.
STEP 3 - Prepare the Sauce
Transfer chicken to a plate and let rest. In the same skillet, wipe away any burnt sugar, then prepare the creamy sauce using the shallot, garlic, butter, gochujang, milk, half-and-half, and seasonings from our original recipe.
Step 4: Finish & Serve
Spoon the creamy gochujang sauce onto a plate, add rice or noodles, and arrange sliced chicken on top. Garnish with scallions, sesame seeds, and freshly grated parmesan.
